It’s been a long while since I last blogged about anything inane (http://www.ign.com/blogs/iverson-ign). That said, since I, like all good narcissists in the internet age, believe the world is a better place with my random brain spasms out in public, here I am again.
For those unaware, my name is Dan Iverson. I’ve spent the past seven years of my life working at IGN.com, until I was recently laid off in February – along with a great deal of talented co-workers, which I wish the best. During my seven years with IGN I helped to start their TV site (http://www.ign.com/tv), worked with the community, managed their database, created massive features (i.e. http://www.ign.com/top/rpgs & http://www.ign.com/wikis/best-of-2011), and project managed a few key community/social tools for the site. You may have also heard my voice on a few IGN podcasts for TV, Comics, Stars, Nintendo and Tech over the years.
Now that you know who I am, I’ve decided to get back into letting my inner thoughts run free and shift my blog to a place where I can write about whatever I want… which will still be movies, TV, comics and video games, because I am the nerdiest person alive. I’m willing to fight for that position. …Like really fight.
I’ll pop in from time to time with answers to questions that I’m asked, or whatever strange thoughts I need to jot down. If you happen to have any comics, games, TV or movies related questions, send them my way on Twitter (@Dan1verson) and I’ll try to give my two cents when I get a chance.
